Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, CMU Hosts the 5th International Conference on “International Security and the Environment: Navigating Conflicts and Global Challenges”

The Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration at Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the College of Public Affairs and Policy, Khon Kaen University, and the Faculty of Political Science, Burapha University, hosted the 5th International Conference on “International Security and the Environment: Navigating Conflicts and Global Challenges.” The conference served as an academic platform for faculty members, independent scholars, students, and the public to present research on international security, the environment, ecology, and sustainable development, while strengthening international academic networks.

The event was honored by the presence of Professor Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., Ph.D., President of Chiang Mai University, who welcomed the participants; Professor of Practice Charin Techapun, Ph.D., Vice President of Chiang Mai University, who delivered the opening remarks; and Associate Professor Pailin Phujeenaphan, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, who presented the conference overview. The conference took place on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai.

- Roundtable Discussion: Centered on “Justice, Identity, and Resilience: New Legal Frontiers in Protecting Vulnerable Populations and Strengthening State Accountability Panel Rationale,” moderated by Dr. Sirada Khemanitthathai, and featuring Mr. Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana, Professor Tyrell Haberkorn, and Associate Professor Prajak Kongkirati.
