Academic Interest/Expertise
I am a sustainability scientist and environmental governance scholar whose research examines how institutions, public policies, markets, and communities shape human–nature relationships, particularly in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Drawing on social–ecological systems thinking and qualitative research methods, I investigate the governance of complex sustainability challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, water pollution, natural-resource degradation, and unequal access to environmental benefits and risks. My current research advances the use of system dynamics models to inform the adaptive governance of complex social–ecological systems by representing feedback relationships, time delays, accumulation processes, uncertainty, and the potential consequences of alternative interventions.
